With this Master’s, IKAM continues its mission: to train visionary cultural professionals capable of transforming ideas into projects and culture into a driver of development.

During the inaugural lecture of the third class of the IKAM Master’s in Cultural Management program, visual artist Abdoulaye Konaté highlighted a major challenge: the lack of resources and influence of African copyright management structures on the international scene.

This powerful presentation underscored the urgent need to strengthen our systems for protecting and promoting artistic creations on the continent.

At IKAM, culture is not just transmitted, it is lived.

During the inaugural lecture of the Master’s in Cultural Management, Dr. Salia Malé, Chief of Staff at the Ministry of Culture, forcefully reiterated that the values of Maaya are at the heart of the program.

A powerful and impactful statement from Mamadou Ndiaye, a financial consultant, during the inaugural lecture of the Master’s in Cultural Management at IKAM:

If you don’t have a cultural foundation, you don’t exist.

Culture is the foundation. Everything else flows from it.

A Decade of Commitment to Culture
