Master in Cultural Management | MCM-IKAM

 

Created in September 2013, the Institut Kôrè des Arts et Métiers (IKAM) is based on the successful experience and success of the entrepreneurial model of the Festival sur le Niger in Ségou, called the Maaya entrepreneurship.

It specializes in training in cultural management and cultural entrepreneurship.

The IKAM is a higher education institute unique in West Africa which trains in cultural management and cultural entrepreneurship following an educational concept based on the social and united values ​​of the peoples of Mali and adapted to the emergence of cultural industries and creative. It aims to train a new elite of African cultural entrepreneurs.

It is approved by the Malian State to deliver professional master’s programs in cultural management and professional bachelor’s in cultural engineering.

The Master in Cultural Management training program is open to holders of a bachelor’s degree (BAC +3) in art and culture, literature, history, sociology, anthropology, economics, law and any other equivalent diploma with experience professional of at least one year to obtain the professional Master in cultural management and to holders of BAC + 2 level in art and culture, literature, history, sociology, anthropology, economics, law or equivalent to obtain the License professional in Cultural Engineering.

The MCM-IKAM also offers continuing education to arts and cultural professionals as well as to project and program managers working in local, national and international institutions interested in further training in cultural management.

The 2021 – 2023 promotion of the Professional Master in Cultural Management begins in September 2021 for a period of 18 months, 6 of which are reserved for professional immersion or advanced training. The training requires great availability (around 20 to 30 hours per week for 70 weeks) and will be in a mixed format (face-to-face and virtual). Collaborative work with the mentor or in groups of students is at the heart of our training system.
